Hotel Selina Serenity Rawai Phuket

Rawai is a good spot if you want to get away from the crowds and unwind, and Selina Serenity Phuket felt like a hidden gem. I’d happily stay again. It’s peaceful but still has a social feel, so it’s easy to meet people from around the world. The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout. My room was comfortable, clean, and well kept, and the common areas were lovely, especially the pool overlooking the ocean. I joined yoga and relaxation sessions, which added a lot to my stay, and the food was tasty and nicely presented. A great place to balance rest, wellness, and meeting people.

We stayed in one of the little garden-side rooms, where waking to tropical birds was lovely, though the rooms are small and the power went out now and then. The hostel area has a shared kitchen for its guests, and people in the common spaces were considerate and kept to themselves. We made breakfast there, and I still remember how good our eggs tasted 😊 The garden and pool area are lovely, with one big pool and one small one. I really enjoyed relaxing with a cocktail by the water. The sea goes out at night and returns in the morning. The beach itself wasn’t especially remarkable, but we visited during monsoon season, so the water may have been unclear, I’m not sure. They welcomed us with a drink. This could be one of the better value places on the quieter western side of Phuket Island.

We really didn’t want to leave. The food was absolutely delicious, the accommodation was beautiful, and the pool looks out over the water. Rawai is the quieter part of Phuket, and Selina Serenity makes a perfect holiday oasis, with staff who are super friendly and helpful. Such a dream stay.

We came for three hostel nights and wound up staying eight, leaving the property only three times because everything we needed was there. It has a distinctive hostel, hotel, and resort mix, with all sorts of travellers around and plenty to do if you feel like joining in. Even so, the mood stays relaxed and chilled. Hostel beds cost a bit more than at most places in Phuket, but the comfort and service made it worthwhile. They make the beds each day and will change the sheets whenever you ask. It’s a great fit if you want a social place that still feels laid-back. We’ll be back.
