The location is great, but the hotel was awful. My first room hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest. The next one smelled strongly of mold or maybe something dead, and its balcony clearly hadn't been cleaned either. I checked out after three minutes. I've never given a hotel in Thailand one star before, but this one deserves zero. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone, not even my enemies.

The beach across the road is what really makes this a lovely place to stay. It's relaxing, family-friendly, with mostly gentle waves and crystal-clear water. Food vendors offer delicious, very reasonably priced food, especially the fantastic seafood, and everyone is friendly. The hotel itself is a typical mid-range place, with a decent breakfast, a nice pool, and good service all around. The location is great. I'd highly recommend it for a relaxing beach holiday.

The breakfast exceeded my expectations, with plenty of choices including American, continental, and Thai options such as boiled rice or pad kaprow. It's served from 7.00 am every day. The hotel is old, but the service is excellent, and the price feels worthwhile for a relaxing stay. It's on the beach road, with a calm beach just across the street, a few minutes away. Rooms are spacious and have the basics, including a desk, TV, and large bed. Just be aware that the bed is actually two small beds joined together.

The beach is long and beautiful, though the stretch right in front of this hotel was quite dirty. Maybe they should clean it up a bit if they're going to use that name. Walk five minutes in either direction along the beach and it's generally well kept. The upper-floor rooms have decent views, and the pool is okay. Nothing special overall.

Staff were friendly, breakfast was okay, and there's off-street parking. The hotel is across from the beach and near local restaurants, with large rooms that are a bit run down. For the price, it's not a bad option, though the sea view was nearly blocked by tall trees, the air conditioning was noisy, and the bed wasn't very comfortable.
