There are several bungalow styles here, for couples or families. I spent three nights in a brand new single bungalow, which was super clean, with a great shower and very cold air conditioning. The staff were very helpful. There's a 7-11 right next door and lots of seafood restaurants across the road, so the location is handy. WiFi is available, though it gets quite slow when busy. Weekends are packed with Thai families, so book ahead. I'd definitely stay again.

There are very good fish and seafood restaurants on the beach within walking distance, but nearly everything else is far away. I found a motorbike rental about a 35-minute walk east, and the bike made it easy to get to 7eleven, the market, and the bank in Ban Phe. A quick plug for Rainbow Rental: good bikes and fair prices. A 155 Yamaha was 350 Baht a day, but she charged me 300, and smaller ones were 250 B a day. The place itself is okay for a day or two and quiet, though rather outdated. My one-person bungalow was dark and not very clean, and I wasn't sure the bed linen was fresh. The lady at the reception was friendly but spoke and understood very little English. At 1000 THB for one night, I thought it was too expensive.

No swimming pool, but the simple, nice bungalows have air conditioning and balconies. The beach is only 200 meters away.

There was theft, no water in the shower, and the place was unclean.
