The room was in poor shape, with worn, marked furniture. The air-con was broken and missing all its vents, but reception said it was okay when we called. The old mattress had springs I could feel, and we couldn't lock the door when we went back to reception to report the problems. We had to leave, and they didn't even offer another room. We'd arrived for a short break and were given a key to a room on the third floor, but nobody showed us where it was. We had to ask how to get there.

It's a basic, cheap, cheerful hotel that's well maintained and really well located. The small city has a definite centre, and there are lots of nice places within walking distance. If you're travelling alone, it's perfect. As a couple, you'll probably still like it if saving money is the main priority.

The best thing about this well-located hotel is that it's about a 10-minute walk from Roi Et Tower and the town centre. The room I had needs some renovation. Breakfast was very basic, apart from perhaps the Asian food. They serve instant coffee despite having a good coffee machine, and an expresso cost extra. I had a Suite for two nights...

The room was clean and tidy, everything worked, and breakfast was good. Staff didn't speak much English but were helpful and got by with Google Translate. There's also an attached coffee shop with good coffee. The rooms don't have tea or coffee making facilities or an in-room safety deposit box. I'd definitely stay here again if I were in Roi Et.

The central location was a plus, but the check-in time was overly strict. The rooms are old, with minimal in-room facilities, and the bed is like a rock. The AC was noisy enough that I had to turn it off and sweat it out to sleep. It felt more or less like a Thai hostel for students and nurses from the nearby hospital.
