For the river setting and price, this is a good-value resort near Sai Yok Noi waterfall. The raft room was basic but had what we needed, with a queen bed and a single, a hammock, and a lovely view of the River Kwai. Parking is huge and has EV chargers. The entrance road is steep, but buggies are easy to get, and one is often waiting at the car park. There’s a small pool, a few viewpoints, and restaurants. The menu changes with the season; buffet dinner is 300 baht per person when there are enough guests. The dishes were ordinary, but affordable and did the job. Breakfast is available too. There are two ways out: a small paved road to the right of the main gate, or a 4 km gravel trail to the left. I’m an adventure rider, so I took the trail. It was fun, with an off-road difficulty of about 3/10. A couple of things bothered me. The wooden planks creak when people pass, so sound carries into the room. Ours faced the pontoon used by people going upstream for a river swim, and at some times more than 50 people walked right past the door. It got chaotic.

Sitting by the river was lovely, with hills and beautiful views all around. I stayed in one of the raft rooms, which was an exciting experience, but the room itself was very basic. There’s little space for large suitcases, no fridge, and only a basic shower. Dinner service ends at 7pm, so I had to drive elsewhere to eat. Breakfast runs from 7 to 9, and there isn’t much to expect.

The river views are amazing, and the staff were helpful and friendly. I didn’t mind the walk up the steps to the restaurant, it takes under five minutes, or they can bring you by buggy. The raft rooms need more upkeep, though. Maintenance is lacking and it lets the place down. With some investment in them, this could be a really great stay.

The hillside view is amazing, so I’d choose a room up there. We felt we got more than we paid for, with great service and a fantastic location. Thanks to all the staff who looked after us during our stay.

Lovely hotel and staff, and the location is great. I’d have given it five stars if there had been a fan in the room, or if they could provide one. Hope they improve that.
