The response from management was the worst part. When I told the male owner about the blood on the linen, he looked annoyed and asked whether there was “really that much blood.” It may have been a small spot, but I didn’t pay to sleep on someone else’s blood. I also told him the second room was dusty. He grimaced, and only apologized after I showed him the dirty tissue I’d used to wipe the furniture. The first room was dusty, the toilet hadn’t been flushed, and I had to flush someone else’s waste. The bathroom bin was assembled incorrectly, so its lid wouldn’t come off. We asked to change rooms right away. The female owner apologized and offered a refund, which we declined out of consideration. But then I found dried blood on the linen, something I might have slept on if I hadn’t checked carefully. The replacement room was dusty too, and not cleaned to an acceptable standard. There are plenty of other places to stay in Sakon Nakhon. A new property isn’t automatically clean or professionally run. This one has serious housekeeping and management problems that need fixing.

I stayed one night in a standard room with a queen/full-size bed. The water was clean, hot, and had good pressure. The AC worked great. The bed wasn’t hard as the floor.

The owner was really helpful. My room was very clean, and there was a nice swimming pool.
