We chose Anchana after staying at dolphin bay resort, hoping for somewhere more romantic with fewer kids. It was quieter, but the place felt abandoned. The bed was painfully hard, the shower was too short, and the TV had no channels. At least there was a bathtub, which dolphin bay didn't have. Breakfast was poor: no buffet laid out, just eggs made to order, cereal, and cold deli meat. Only one staff member spoke English very well. Bikes were free, though in rough shape, and motorbike rentals were cheap and convenient. We both got sick after ordering an ice cream milk shake from the restaurant.

The village is really relaxed, the people are cool, and the surroundings are lovely. The pool is great too, but I don't think the price is good value. You could get better for the same money elsewhere.

A clean room, friendly staff, and a nice little pool. It's right by the beach, and one of the better hotels in dolphin bay.

The mosquitoes come free with your stay, ha ha. Thanks for the mosquito zapper, the electric kind that zaps and kills them.
