CoCo Hotel Bangkok

The bed was decent, though that raised step beside it felt awkward since I’m not used to it. The room itself was quite dark, with wood used for nearly everything, including the balcony slider. My shower was spacious but moldy, and it didn’t drain properly. There was dirt in it before I used it, so my feet still felt unclean afterward. The toilet seat was peeling and had gone crispy.

I booked at the last minute around New Year’s Eve, and it was a bad call. My room was dark, the bathroom drains smelled, and most frustratingly, there was no usable internet. They said the Wi-Fi was down, though it worked on the first floor, just not in my room. They couldn’t fix it until Monday. I needed internet to work on my computer, so I asked to cancel and find another hotel. They weren’t cooperative or understanding. If you have other options, don’t choose this hotel.

It’s still a decent place to stay, and not far from the new monorail, but the rooms could use an overhaul. I came back after staying here years ago when it had just opened. The sliding door opens straight to the outside, so there’s quite a lot of noise. At check-in, the staff gave me a key card for a room that hadn’t even been finished being made.

I had a great four-night stay at Coco hotel 😄👍🏻 The room service was quick, and the food was tasty and good quality. The minibar was nicely stocked with soda, beer, water, two Pringles, and two packs of nuts. The hotel is clean, quiet, new, and modern. Staff were very helpful, even though their language skills were limited. Writing this directly from the hotel ;)
