Koon Hotel Sukhumvit

The hospitality was lovely across the board, and the sweet woman at reception even tried to help when we were charged to heat our own food in the microwave after buying a coffee from the restaurant at reception. It seemed really weird, but she said that was their rule. The room and pool were good, and so were the blue hippo red 🐊 sauna and spa. We had a couples spa session before heading home, and it was so good. The older woman and young gentleman had magic in their hands. We also got a souvenir keychain with the hotel name. I’d give it four stars for the hospitality. I’d take one off for the restaurant and buffet, and for the noise from the construction work. The breakfast buffet isn’t worth it for me, especially compared with buffets at other resorts in Thailand.

At about 1700 THB a night, it’s a decent place if you’ll be out most of the time. The location is convenient, with plenty of food within walking distance, and the staff were great. They even put together a breakfast package for our early flight. The hotel is clean and cozy, but the five-star label sets expectations it doesn’t meet. The bathroom was small and the hot water only lukewarm. Breakfast choices were limited, especially the bakery, which was just bread. The pool is quite small and gets crowded easily. It’s not the best pick for a relaxing resort-style stay.

During a sports tournament, my team and I had a brilliant stay here. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful both when I made the reservation and when we arrived. Guy was also really helpful carrying my shopping. I’d highly recommend this spot!

The pool and gym were nice, and breakfast was amazing. Communication was difficult because the hotel staff couldn’t speak English, even though the booking pages said they could. Also, some of our clothes disappeared from the bed during room cleaning. The staff didn’t look for them properly or apologize, and did nothing about it.
