Urban Elegance Knightsbridge BTS Bearing

The location is a bit out of the way, about 45 minutes by BTS to central Bangkok. Still, it’s worth considering if you want to spend less and get a semi-premium hotel experience. The rooms and facilities were really good quality for the price, and there were good breakfast options too. Staff were friendly and supportive. Great bang for the buck, would recommend.

The breakfast wasn’t anything to rave about, and I checked out two days early. I especially disliked the bathroom. I had a bathtub, but the shower leaked so badly that the whole floor was flooded afterward. The toilet area smelled like armpit, and there was no hairdryer. The photos showed a sauna, but when I arrived they said there wasn’t one. I don’t know how this counts as a three-star hotel. There are definitely better places in Bangkok for the same price.

The room itself was perfectly fine, but I didn’t check the location carefully enough. It’s in a more local area, and transport and access to public options aren’t very convenient, especially for tourists. Soundproofing was really poor. Between 2 and 3 am, guests on my floor kept going in and out and slamming doors, probably more than 10 times. It was frustrating and so annoying when I was trying to rest.

The room was clean and big, and the location was okay, about a five-minute walk to the BTS metro station. There’s a small restaurant nearby. Avoid getting a room opposite the elevator. The door doesn’t block sound, and the elevator bell is very loud. I couldn’t sleep well because of it.
