Golf Inn Resort

The bathroom smell was awful, the worst we've come across in ten years of cycle touring and hundreds of hotel stays. It's a shame, because the bedroom was spotless and well kept, with a comfortable bed and a large fridge. It's set back from the road, and the air conditioning worked well. Some smell traps in the drains would make a big difference.

We had booked three rooms for seven adults and eight small children, but at check-in the staff member wouldn't let us in, even when we offered to pay for the extra people. She was rude and told my friend to contact the agent to cancel. First she said we needed another room and bed, then she said that couldn't be done. How are families with kids supposed to sleep in separate rooms? I can't make sense of it. I'd give zero stars if the site let me post without selecting one.

We agreed to pay for another room and an extra bed, but the lady on staff kept changing her mind and was very rude. In the end she turned us away, and we had to contact AGODA to cancel. AGODA helped us through the cancellation smoothly. We continued to Hua Hin and checked into Hyatt Regency peacefully, only needing to add an extra bed. Looking at an earlier review, yes, this seems to be the same rude, arrogant and conceited staff member. Families should avoid this hotel. We were travelling to rest here for a night before continuing south to Hua Hin, and in all our travels across many countries, we'd never before been refused check-in despite having paid in full. We had to reach AGODA to cancel the booking. Sometimes guest numbers get missed when booking, or plans change and a child comes along. We've had no trouble paying extra at 4-5 star hotels, where staff have been more understanding. This hotel, which looks close to collapsing, stubbornly turned us away. If the hotel wants to improve, it should pay attention to this staff member. Maybe she's the owner. She doesn't seem to have a talent for business.

It's a very convenient place to stop on my way from the south to Pattaya. The rooms are large and clean, and the staff are really friendly. It's near the highway but still quiet, so I slept well in a comfortable bed. I really love this place.
