Peggy's Cove Resort

Such a lovely, quiet place, and the room was beautiful and spacious. We stayed one night. The bed was really comfortable, the bath was great, and the service was top-tier. I’m vegetarian, and they made my dishes without meat, fish, or seafood. The food was good too. Highly recommend!

We booked a private villa, set well apart from the other units, with its own swimming pool. There was plenty of space around the house, neatly laid out in separate areas. The room was very clean, and the bathroom was surprisingly big. The food was delicious as well, so it was great value for the price. I’d love to return.

The seafood buffet was generous and delicious, and the beach, though small, was clean. The place has a fantastic atmosphere, the rooms are large and clean, and the bed and hot tub were nice. The downside was the outdoor air con unit in room 231, which was so loud I couldn’t sleep properly. The nearest 7-Eleven is 10 km away. Aside from that, all good!

I’d stayed at Peggy’s Cove Resort before and enjoyed it, so this booking failure was especially disappointing. I booked for March 14, but Agoda emailed me a cancellation just one day before check-in, saying the supplier couldn’t accommodate the reservation. My credit card had already been charged, yet the resort hadn’t secured my room. Agoda offered another place, but it was nowhere near the standard or value of what I’d paid for at Peggy’s Cove. I expected the resort and Agoda’s booking system to be better coordinated for a returning guest. It’s unacceptable to confirm a booking and take a partial payment, then leave someone scrambling to find a hotel at the last minute. I’m now wasting time looking for somewhere else and trying to get a refund that shouldn’t have been a problem. Please improve inventory management with Agoda so this doesn’t happen to other people.
