Baan Sattahip by the sea (SHA Extra Plus)

The staff were so friendly, and the breakfast was a light spread: sweet sticky rice with dried fish, bread, boiled and soft-boiled eggs, coffee, orange juice, and soy milk. The rooms are small and simple, with little sailor and sea decorations tucked around the corners. It’s a townhouse, neatly arranged and cute, with the street at the front and a sea view from the back.

There’s a little garden where you can sit and look out at the sea, which is right in front of the place. A café is downstairs, parking is just outside, and there’s a supermarket across the street. It’s a family-run boutique stay with a warm feel, friendly staff, lovely sea views, and charming sailor and sea decorations. A light breakfast is included.

The shower was one of the nicest things about staying here, oddly enough. It’s very easy to use, just a water-flow valve and a heater knob for the temperature. The coffee was great, and breakfast was more of a snack, but enough to get the day going. Rooms are small but adequate, and the second-floor ones have balconies overlooking Sattahip Bay. A handy little hotel in a great location if you need to be in Sattahip.
