S3 Room

Cheap place.

We only stayed one night at S3 Hotel Sattahip, but our corner room was so big, clean, and comfortable that it felt like we'd been there much longer. It even had a balcony for some fresh air. We paid 500-600 baht, a great price recommended by close friends. Just remember, breakfast isn't included! The owner was really friendly and helpful, and there was parking, so we didn't have to hunt for a spot. The hotel is in a lively community, with shops and a la carte restaurants downstairs. Across the way, a cute cafe serves good coffee and accepts the "Half-Half" scheme. Dong Tan Market is only a short walk away, with lots of food options. With all that food around, it was nice that Nong Takhian was easy to get to for a run. After running until we were tired, we happily went back to the downstairs restaurant. 😅

The room was clean and spacious, and I was especially happy with how clean everything was. The AC was comfortable, and the water pressure and temperature were easy to adjust. Parking was plentiful. There's no elevator, so you'll need to carry your own bags. It costs 600 baht, plus a 100 baht key deposit, which is very affordable and fair.

There was a lot of noise, and the person had an unfriendly expression. The rented motorbike looked like it could break down, so think carefully before renting one.
