Cabana Lipe Beach Resort

We stayed four nights and found plenty of vegetarian food every day. My friend and I are vegetarian, and nearly everything seemed to suit us. I asked for soy milk on the first morning, and they went out to get it so I could have it each day. Breakfast also had eggs made to order, fresh fruit, bread, yogurt, and cereal. The staff made the stay, honestly. Everyone was kind and tried to help with our many requests. They missed changing our towels once, but brought fresh ones right away when we asked. Nadia was especially professional and attentive, always smiling. Our room was clean and a good size, though not especially modern, and it was right by the sea.

We spent nine nights at Cabana with our 15-month-old daughter, and the staff made us feel like family. She loved playing with them, and everyone was so welcoming to her. We’ve had some of our best service in Thailand here. The hotel is right by the beach and serves a fantastic breakfast. We’d happily return, and recommend it highly.

The rooms were spacious and cleaned well, and we had a lovely week at Cabana Lipe. It’s right on the beach, which we loved, and the staff were happy to help with anything that would make our stay better. There aren’t many loungers, but we could use the ones at other bars farther up the beach, so it didn’t cause us a problem. Thank you, Cabana Lipe!

We came for the beachfront setting and sea-facing room, but the poor hospitality overshadowed both. The Front Office Manager was rude and arrogant, with no greeting or courtesy, and each interaction felt hostile. Nadia was polite and did try to help. We’d confirmed our arrival details and were assured of a pier pickup, but nobody showed up, so we arranged transport ourselves. Messages through Agoda were unreliable too. The extra bed we paid for was a flimsy sofa bed that shifted all night and was very uncomfortable. The bathrooms felt outdated and neglected, with very weak water pressure. Requests were refused under the banner of “rules and policies,” without any effort to find a solution. We’d also been promised vegetarian breakfast options, but there weren’t any. When we asked for an adjustment for the breakfasts we didn’t eat, they refused because they’d already been “punched.” Checkout felt excessive and uncomfortable. Staff inspected the room as though we were suspected of stealing. It seemed discriminatory, since we didn’t see other guests treated that way. They even accused us of missing bathrobes, though the robes were clearly on the bed. When my son became ill and vomited, the manager demanded payment instead of showing any empathy. He changed the explanation from cleaning charges to missing item charges. Telling us to “take the blanket and cover with you” was disgraceful. In our reply to the property’s comment, we said nobody had told us at check-in that a dirty linen blanket would incur a full replacement or cleaning charge. Imagine a hotel charging for that. After checkout, when we said we hadn’t been informed, the manager rudely dismissed it and said, “it doesnt matter, you need to pay”. The booking charges had been paid through Agoda, despite the property’s claim that the stay was unpaid. Don’t cover up guilt and cheating customers by hiding behind unpaid charges. Their reply to our review shows the management’s character and ethics. This was one of the worst front-office experiences I’ve had. A nice view can’t make up for disrespectful staff and poor management.
