NT House Koh Lipe Resort

The staff were the one thing I liked. Koh Lipe was fully booked, so I ended up here even though I'd seen the bad reviews and some people said the rooms were clean. My first shower had a broken hose, the air conditioning didn't work properly, and the price felt too high for what they offer. If you can find a better option, take it.

The location was spot on, right in the middle of Walking Street but quiet enough to sleep at night. But for nearly £200 for three nights, the room was tiny and filthy, and the air conditioning was poor. The shower barely dribbled water, and the whole place looked due for a refurb. At hostel prices, maybe that would be fair, but compared with other hotels at the same price, it wasn't worth it.

We were travelling in high season with our two kids, aged 3 and 5, when everything was fully booked, so we had no choice but to book here. I was completely willing to pay extra for the children, but the hotel stayed rigid and offered no help or solution. It was really disappointing to get so little compassion when we were in a difficult spot. Thanks to that lack of hospitality, we ended up at Ananya Lipe Resort for 15,750.00 THB, where we had a much better time, with true 5-star service and a luxury stay that actually welcomed families. If you're travelling with kids, avoid this place. They don't seem interested in helping customers, even when you're ready to pay.

I stayed six nights and was comfortable in my room. It was a good fit for one person, and the bed was pretty comfortable compared with most beds in Thailand. The warm water worked after I reset the boiler. Room cleaning is on request, and they bring water and toilet paper each day. I did laundry here for 60 baht per kg. The staff were super friendly and helpful.
