At check-in, make sure the staff confirms your details. Otherwise you could be charged twice, and even after a week the refund they promised might still not show up.

My room's air conditioning was very weak and never cooled it properly, and the resort looks worn out enough to need major renovation. Check-in was a mess too: the young woman took a 500 baht key deposit but refused to give me a receipt. The owner finally got involved, and I did get the receipt. The pictures are deceptive.

At 650 baht plus a 500 baht deposit, the room is 35 sqm and has a 32-inch LCD TV, air conditioner, hot-water machine, about 20 cc of shampoo and liquid soap, plus free coffee and tea. Lotus Express and CJ Market are nearby. For a 7-11, you have to walk about 700 m.

A really pleasant stay, and probably the best value I've had in Thailand. It would be nice to have an outdoor seat or table by the rooms, but otherwise I enjoyed it.
