OYO 1166 Train Way Resort

We stayed one night on August 1st, 1968, after booking through the app for 509.11. The room had no fridge, even though the photo showed one. They did leave two bottles of water, which was fine for one night. The bed was okay and the bathroom had a water heater, but there was hair and stains on the pillows, and one towel was stained too. We didn't ask for another because it seemed like a hassle and a waste of time. The wardrobe also felt too big and unnecessary. Parking was cramped, it was dark outside at night, and the surrounding lights were dim. An elderly cleaner was helpful, though she wasn't great at directing traffic and was hard to understand. We could hear traffic now and then, along with other guests talking clearly. For 509.11, I thought it was too expensive, 400 baht would have made more sense. I probably wouldn't return unless I had no choice. 🤣

Nothing about this stay impressed me. The parking was extremely cramped, and there wasn't a fridge, kettle, or even tea or coffee packets. It looked cheap at first, but the service made the price feel anything but. I arrived after dark hoping to sleep in and relax, then at 6 am the power went out, the water stopped, and the air conditioning quit. How could I sleep? It felt like they were practically kicking me out. Terrible, terrible, terrible!

We booked through the app last Friday the 13th because my boyfriend was worried we wouldn't make check-in in time. At the desk, we confirmed the app price was 487 baht, different from the walk-in rate. In our room there was no fridge or kettle, even though they seemed like standard items. They were provided on the left side of the entrance, but the other side had them, which was confusing. I didn't argue, but my boyfriend was very upset. We couldn't cancel, so we had to accept the room, and then spent another 100 baht on an ice bucket from 7-Eleven to hold ice. They did provide two bottles of drinking water. It was a terrible experience, and we definitely won't return.

The room smelled musty and the air conditioner wasn't cool. When we asked someone to check it, they said it could only cool that much. We were told the price was 550 baht, but paid 650 when we went in and didn't say anything. In the end we couldn't stand the smell or the heat, so after about two hours we folded and left. We only stayed a short while.
