S. Sriracha Hotel and Residence

The sea view is fantastic, and there's a gym here, which was welcome after weeks of traveling. It's a very nice hotel and residence if you're in the area, with good-sized rooms, amenities, and service. The hotel seems relatively new, and a porter will take your luggage to or from your room at check-in or checkout.

The pool was quiet and pleasant, and we loved the apartment, the great view, the amenities, and the nice staff. The stay exceeded our expectations by a lot, especially for the value. You really need a car, though. Even Central, which is very close, means driving, since there are stray dogs along the road to the hotel. Covered parking is quite limited, but somehow we always found a space. Highly recommended.

The bathroom and bed were clean and comfortable, and the staff were very attentive and proactive. The breakfast buffet starts at 5 AM, with a fairly standard selection. The pool, gym, and onsen open early and close at 10 PM, which I loved. There's an on-demand free shuttle to Central and nearby places. Minibar items are free, but you can't ask for extra bottled water. There's a small minimart in the lobby. One issue: shampoo was in a bottle marked “shower gel.” At night, the bathroom on the 16th floor smelled strongly of drains, like salty rotten shellfish, which was unpleasant. The Two-Bedroom Executive Suite is limited to 3 guests and quite overpriced. Booking 2 One-Bedroom Suites is better value, even for 4 people, since it's still cheaper with similar space. I was satisfied with the stay and would return.

The location right on the beach gives you great views, and the rooms are large, modern, and equipped well enough to live in. The sauna, steam room, and pool were all clean and good. The place is lovely, and I look forward to coming back. The food was the one real disappointment, more like something from 7/11. I'd suggest cooking for yourself or eating at a nearby restaurant or across the road at central. The staff could also be a bit friendlier and more upbeat.
