The bell boy was the only one who seemed to care about service. He helped me to my room and was there when I left, so I gave him 1000B in front of the other staff to show that a good attitude and work ethic pay off. The rest of the stay was full of failures. There were plenty of staff, but apart from one man they seemed lazy and inattentive, spending time on makeup or their phones. Reception also seemed more focused on doing nothing than helping guests. Even with only four guests and six staff at breakfast, they barely noticed anyone and mostly chatted among themselves. On the first morning, the sparse menu had no orange juice, so fruit, the only other option, was what I got. The fried eggs were so undercooked I worried they could be a safe haven for salmonella or listeria. The second morning, I had to wake a woman who was absorbed in her phone. She didn't show me the menu, just asked, 'you want eggs?' There were two other choices, including soup. I asked for the menu and sat down to wait. I was the only guest, with five staff around, and it wasn't busy. I asked for orange juice again and was told there was only fruit. I finally told them in harsh language that this attitude wasn't acceptable anymore. There's a 7-eleven 2 km from the hotel. Somehow, after they went away, I had orange juice within two minutes. It was lazy, uncaring and unprofessional not to keep even a small supply, or to bother getting more when it ran out. And this is a 4* hotel, right? I was even joined in the shower by a cockcroach.

The staff were genuinely friendly, and we had a great stay. It's a good spot for families with young kids or older people looking to get away from the busy cities for a while. The resort faces the sea, though it was rough while we were there, so we didn't swim. The pool is large, with plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy the sea breeze. Breakfast had a decent range, from local Thai dishes to continental options. The rooms were clean and decent, though the lighting felt too dim, maybe because it's an old hotel. One of the quietest places I've ever stayed. We might come back.

Everything was clean, and the place was kept in pretty good shape despite feeling a bit dated. The rooms were comfortable, and it's a quiet, family-friendly resort away from the city.

The room included breakfast for two, and we paid THB120 / pax for the 3 boys. We weren't sure if the food was halal, so we stuck with bread, boiled eggs, and some fruit. It's a huge resort right by the beach, with nice pools for the kids. You can also stroll along the shore, a shorter version of Samila beach front. Nice place, highly recommended.

Lovely scenery and a calm, quiet atmosphere, away from the town centre. The van transport was frustrating, though. They kept saying it was too far, which isn't the resort's fault. Anyone coming should be aware of a Thai stink minivan driver's attitude.
