Muaan Resort

We booked a bungalow, which was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and four pillows. The air conditioning and shower both worked perfectly. The resort is peaceful, with mature trees, tropical plants, and plenty of water around. The scenery is lovely throughout, and antique wagon axles decorate the grounds. There are also four two-story buildings with several rooms each, covered parking, some more private bungalows, and a couple of larger options for families. The staff made check-in incredibly easy. We wanted to see the room first, so a staff member directed us there, then brought the key and paperwork once we chose a bungalow. Breakfast cost an extra ฿100 per person. It included rice soup served in a pot, fried eggs, ham, a hot dog in stackable Tiffin lunch boxes, plus toast, coffee, tea, and water. The resort also has facilities for conferences, weddings, and parties. We’ll be back for another relaxing stay.

There’s a small shop about a three-minute walk away, though the property itself has no bar or restaurant. Smoking is restricted to designated areas. It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot, and our room and washroom were both clean and spacious. A good choice if you’re after quiet. 👌

The location, cleanliness, and warm hospitality from the staff all made a good first impression at Muaan resort. The tropical garden around the lodges, clubhouse, and café gives the place a shady feel. It’s a convenient, peaceful vacation option, though room amenities and resort facilities are limited.

The charging setup was the biggest problem for us. The Pupaplug stations by the PEA kept working intermittently or not at all. Payment was slow, and the webpage process involved several hoops. I had to walk between the room and charger six times while calling support, only to be told nothing could be done and that they’d refund me. Luckily, we have a hybrid. Someone with a nearly dead full EV could be in trouble. Bring your own charger too, since the outlet is a 220 volt, three-eye plug, probably rated at 10 amps. The rate is 8 baht per 1000 watts per hour. The place itself is nicely maintained, with trees and lots of water, and feels like a quiet big garden. Our room was just okay, with an old satellite TV that had ads. Standard items like a fridge, hot water pot, and hairdryer were there, but we only got two bath towels and there was no soap at the sink. That was fine for us at a fair price. Staff were very friendly.
