Good job.

The only positives I found were the spacious room, cheap rent, and a security guard who was kind, patient, and willing to help. Everything else left me unimpressed. I rented this condo by the month and, after moving in, had to stick it out for all six months. It’s 10-15 minutes from the city center, but the entrance is isolated among rubber plantations and hard to find. You might miss the sign at first. Covered parking is limited, and the spaces are very narrow, so most people end up outside in the sun and wind. The room hadn’t been cleaned before I moved in. On the first day there were gecko droppings everywhere, dust all over the bed, and a sticky floor that felt like the mop hadn’t been washed. There was no water heater. The fitness center was nearly all broken and practically unusable apart from the dumbbells. It seemed to be there just to attract tenants. Management was the worst part. They seemed interested only in selling and renting units, and the after-service was terrible. They answered questions curtly, showed no service mind, and made faces at customers, unlike when I first viewed the place. If you can find another condo in Surat Thani, look elsewhere. Keep this one as a last resort.

It’s a brand new building, and the staff seem new too. I think things may be managed better in the future. Google Maps gives a misleading location, so use GPS to find the Apple Tree Coffee shop, then turn left into the alley beside it. The entrance sign is peeling, so don’t bother looking for it; follow those directions instead. It’s a condo with rooms rented by the day. Security against outsiders is good, but there are no guards. You need to go inside and tell them you have a reservation and are checking in before they open the gate for your car. My room wasn’t cleaned on the day I stayed, and it seemed like they were showing me a sample room. The pillows were still wrapped in plastic and in poor condition. The sheets, pillowcases, and blankets smelled dusty. There was no water heater, kettle, or internet in the room. No breakfast is provided, and there are no nearby shops, so plan ahead and bring your own supplies.

The setting is really nice, with fresh air and space to exercise. Behind the mountain there’s a place to climb up, worship Buddha, and take in a 360-degree view. It’s on the outskirts of Surat Thani but still not far from the city. Don’t miss it if you stop by.
