The bunk beds had no curtains, so there wasn’t much privacy. I always find it disappointing when hostels skip adding curtains. Still, I had a great stay and would definitely recommend this place. It was the cleanest hostel I stayed at in Thailand, with constant cleaning that kept everything fresh and comfortable. The common areas were nice and easy to relax in, and I appreciated being able to rent a scooter right there. The beach is a solid 15-minute walk away. You can also book trips to the Surin and Similan Islands through the hostel, at prices that are really good compared with what those trips usually cost.

I forgot to collect my laundry before leaving for Phuket. When I contacted the owner of DKaYa Hostel, she kindly sent all my clothes to my new place by cargo and didn’t charge me. I felt completely at home there, and I’m so grateful. They deserve more than five stars 🫶

We slept very well and would stay here again. The beds were comfortable, and the shower and bathroom were very clean. We would have liked curtains on the beds, though. Gift, the owner, is incredibly helpful and always there when you need something. The hostel also has a small kitchen and a coffee station that’s very well stocked.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in in Thailand. The staff are super kind and helpful, and the location is great, close to the beach and main attractions. A great place to stay in Khao Lak.

One of the best hostels ever. The staff are so kind and helpful, the location is great, and the beds are very comfortable. Towels are provided, there’s shampoo and soap in the shower, and the wifi is very good. They have a kitchen, free water refills, and snacks. You can book day trips there and do laundry too. The options are the best and cheapest in Kao Lak, and it’s just a five-minute walk to the beach.
