Dorm Des Fleurs Hostel

A good budget place to stay, set a little way back from the main road and nice for a rest. The room was big enough and had a balcony. The wardrobe and fridge were a bit old, but they worked. The owners were lovely and helpful, always smiling. Thank you!

My wife booked a 15-day stay through Agoda months ahead, but I was extremely disappointed when we arrived. The sheets looked disgusting, and when I asked for a change, the woman in charge said they were clean, though they did replace them. I didn’t want to let exhaustion ruin the first day, but I later realized how filthy the place was. We couldn’t find anywhere else, so we stayed for a week and spent most of the day outside. I developed a mold allergy and became ill there. The hotel smelled damp, moldy, and even of sewage, and I could hardly breathe. We found a cleaner place, left quickly, and I recovered. Don’t rent it, you could get sick. We paid for 15 days and got nothing for the unused time. It absolutely wasn’t worth the money, and I’ll never book a place like this again.

The food was delicious, home cooked, and full of flavour, and the place was quiet, comfortable, and very reasonably priced. The hosts were genuinely lovely, warm, and welcoming. I felt at home as soon as I arrived. This has been the highlight of my trip so far, and I can’t recommend it enough for a peaceful, heartfelt stay.

We stayed one night out of the five. The room was awful: dirty, poorly maintained, with a smelly pillow and an uncomfortable bed. The proprietor and staff were nice, but it wasn’t for us. You can have a well-appointed two-star guest house, so there’s really no excuse. The cooking school has clearly been given more priority than the accommodation.
