JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort and Spa

The resort has an impressive range of activities for adults and children, and many of the extensive course and activity program offerings are free. The kids paradise and children's facilities kept our child happily entertained. We also made good use of the complimentary shuttle to the town center and large local market. The gym deserves a special mention, one of the largest and best-quality hotel gyms we've used. There are massage places, laundry services, and small supermarkets within walking distance, though shopping in town is generally cheaper. The resort is very large, and the only small drawback for us was the number of guests and the noise at breakfast, especially at busy times. Service at JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa was outstanding. Every staff member was friendly, helpful, and attentive, and made us feel welcome throughout. An excellent stay, with great facilities and fantastic value for families and active travelers.

The grounds were beautifully maintained, and there was a wide range of activities, so there seemed to be something for everyone. Sakura Restaurant is a must try, the food and service were both lovely. I was so impressed that I've already booked to return next year. The At Your Service Team handled my questions quickly and thoughtfully. One night I ordered room service, and instead of simply leaving the tray, the staff set up my dining table and added a small plant beside it. Such a simple touch, but it made the meal feel special. This was my first visit to JW Marriott Khao Lak. It's a little farther from town and the airport, but it feels like a hidden gem. On arrival I was warmly welcomed and escorted to the front desk, where I got a refreshing drink and cool dessert. I was also lucky to meet Ms. Natasha Low, the Hotel Manager. Her gracious hospitality immediately put me at ease and made me excited to experience the resort. I'd stayed at the JW in Phuket before, and Khao Lak has its own distinct charm, while keeping the same impressive service standards. Thank you for an outstanding stay.

Our travel agent made the booking process disappointing, and we ran into several issues during the stay. The hotel team, though, took responsibility and were kind, patient, and attentive. They went out of their way to help us get the compensation we were entitled to, even after checkout. Olly, the hotel representative, kept following up until everything was resolved. We were somewhat disappointed by the state of the rooms, though we were told the hotel is undergoing renovations. The rest of the facilities were excellent, including the pool, children's water attractions, and the varied dining options. The team's service and genuine care made a real difference to our vacation.

We've returned after a week last year and eight nights this year, and loved every moment again. The service was exceptional from the hospitality team to the restaurant staff. Natasha deserves special thanks. She consistently went above and beyond to make things perfect for us and for our family and friends. Her thoughtful little “one-percenters” made the stay even more special. We hope to be back again soon.
