The garden setting is pleasant, and the rooms and bathrooms are nicely decorated. Breakfast was alright, though there could be more choice of bread. Still, because service and attention to detail fell short, we won't stay here again. Our bathroom was cleaned only once in five days, and only after we specifically asked. Ants were in the room from the first day; we told staff, but nothing was done. A large construction site next door was very noisy, and the rooms aren't soundproof. There are wide gaps around the doors, so outside noise carries in. The gym was poorly maintained and not somewhere we'd want to spend time. We also had a serious problem with the laundry service. We handed in cotton clothes two days before checkout, and the clean laundry came back on the morning we were leaving. It seems high heat and a dryer were used, and the clothes shrank so much I can't wear them anymore. We were told the hotel wasn't liable for laundry issues and given the laundry service's number. Hotel staff said they might not speak English. It felt like they wanted us to pay the bill quickly and leave, with damage worth over 100 USD of no interest to them. Even if guests sign a waiver, from a customer's point of view this was unacceptable, since the hotel offered the service in cooperation with the laundry.

This was very good value for money. The resort is in a quiet, green area away from traffic on the main road, and Bang Niang Beach is about a 15-minute walk away. Our room was spacious, had everything we needed including air conditioning, and was cleaned thoroughly every day. The pool was clean and well maintained, too. Breakfast was tasty and sufficient, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked the Similan Islands excursion through the hotel and highly recommend it, 5⭐.

Check-in and checkout were smooth and easy, and everything else was fine. The resort is a lovely green oasis, full of plants, orchids and flowers. Staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the stay feel warm and relaxed. The place was very clean. Breakfast isn't a big buffet, but it had what we needed to start the day; more vegetarian choices would be good. The WiFi could be better, and the gym feels a bit outdated.

For a peaceful stay with some privacy, this resort worked well. There are four or five restaurants within a couple of minutes' walk, popular with Thai diners and offering authentic food at very good prices. Bang Niang night market is about a ten-minute walk away. Our villa was large and comfortable, with a swim-up pool that was only knee deep. There is also a proper swimming pool. The grounds have lovely gardens with many kinds of orchids. Reception staff Noi, Jipjoyce and Tony, along with Kiat the driver, were all friendly and helpful.

We spent a week at Forest and had a great time. The place is just behind the main road, but still quiet, with a few nice restaurants around the corner. Our room was spacious and the bed comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and breakfast, and used the gym a few times. The staff were always around and happy to help. I'd recommend it. Book early in high season, as it gets popular 😉
