A great, cheap place to stay, and a good base for day trips since it’s central to everything. Breakfast was great, and the beds and aircon were good. Don’t come for the pool, though, there’s a beach just down the road.

We booked a double room but were given a three-bed room with no daylight. The place was very unclean overall, and the state of the “pool” says it all. A disaster. I wouldn’t stay here even for free. What a shame.

The one thing that worked was the air conditioning. The rooms were in very poor condition and didn’t match the description or what we expected. A lot of people who stayed here confirmed the same. The owner showed little understanding, and the very limited communication in English made the stay more difficult. I can’t recommend this place.

The location was good, and the staff were lovely and helpful. I only had a few complaints: the fridge was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while, and there were dead ants in one spot. They cleaned those up as soon as we told them. I also couldn’t connect to the WiFi, so I had to go to the restaurant whenever I needed to check something.

Bungalow 21 was reasonably priced, clean, nice, and quiet. It’s at the top of the hill, with just one neighbor and woods on the other side. There’s a washing machine on site, and it worked well. Vendors out front sell good, cheap Thai food and coffee. The regular rooms need a lot of TLC, the bungalows are much nicer.
