I got an upgrade through Agoda to a duplex king superior room, which made it excellent value. It was spacious, with a balcony looking over the lagoon, and the rooms felt more like apartments, which suited me. There’s no fancy lobby or gym, but I didn’t need either. Local restaurants and a supermarket are an easy walk away. Getting a Grab taxi to Patong can take a little patience at peak times, though it’s manageable. The area is more high-end, with prices close to European or Western levels, maybe a bit less. For cheaper Thai prices, Patong is a better choice, but it’s more chaotic. I’d definitely stay here again.

The room was good overall, and I was upgraded to room 901. The male staff member was especially friendly and helpful, with excellent service. One thing puzzled me: there’s a hole in the bathroom door. When the bathroom is in use, unpleasant smells can drift into the room.

We chose the place for its proximity to Boat Avenue, though Holiday Garden Inn might have been a better option at about the same rate. This doesn’t feel close to 4 stars. I thought there had been renovations, but the room and furnishings were old and had a musty smell. I wouldn’t return.

During EDC Thailand 2025, when the venue was near Boat Avenue, Chengtalay, we could walk back and forth from Chabana. The lake view was spectacular, and the room was nice and clean. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a really great experience, and the hotel and management team made the trip smooth and fulfilling. Highly recommended. Keep up the great work, thank you!

As of Sep 2024, the hotel was in the middle of major renovation work. We hadn’t known about it when booking online and would have chosen somewhere else. The lobby area, front side of the hotel, and pool area were all building zones, and the pool couldn’t be used. The room was spacious and matched the photos, and the bed was comfortable. Internet in the bedrooms was unreliable, so another guest was working in the hallway. After staff adjusted something, it worked well enough for us.
