Erachon Raft Resort

The view and pool area were lovely, but the checkout left me feeling uncomfortable. I was travelling with my kid, and we'd missed our chance to use the pool during the stay. I assumed we could go in after checkout, but the receptionist said guests couldn't use common areas afterward. I offered to pay for an hour, and was refused. I was standing there with my child dressed for swimming, unable to understand why this was happening. If that's hotel policy, guests should be told in advance so they can plan, or it could be written in the room. If it was just the receptionist's decision, it's unfortunate that guests can be put in such an unpleasant, unexpected situation. She did help me with some other things, and I'm grateful for that, but this checkout experience spoiled the impression. Communication was difficult because nobody at the hotel spoke English. They had kayaks, but I couldn't get information about them, the surrounding area, or river trips. The stay was otherwise quite nice despite the communication issues. It's especially unpleasant to feel this way while travelling with a child.

The rooms are spacious and very clean, and the pools were spotless and the perfect temperature. For one of the floating rooms, I'd book well ahead. Kayaks and paddle boards are available on the river, and the national park is nearby. There's not much within walking distance, but the setting along the Kwai River is lovely.

We stayed in the villa raft right by the river, with a mountain view. It was wonderfully peaceful, and the resort offers kayaking if you want to explore along the water. The staff were nice, and it felt worth every penny.

The hotel, rooms, and pool area were beautiful and really clean, with lovely views all around. Kayaking is included, which was great. The restaurant was the letdown: the food was mediocre, and its opening hours seemed unpredictable. The sign said breakfast 8-10, then lunch and dinner 2-9. That was true for the first couple of days, then they stopped opening for lunch. With no other places nearby unless you have a car or bike, that was a problem. The food is the only reason I'm not giving five stars.
