Cape Go Resort

The owner took us on some great cycling routes and pointed us to really good restaurants. The rooms had enough space for our bikes, and there was a hose to wash them after rides. The pool was wonderfully refreshing. This place will be my benchmark for future bike trips.

Update, March 23: the bathroom has been renovated and is now clean and up to a good standard. It’s not on the beach, but the price is very good for the location. The place is new and modern in style, with a nice pool that’s great for kids. Rooms are larger than the bungalows and all have air conditioning. Breakfast is sufficient, though the bathroom used to be very poor. A 7/11 is two minutes away by car or a ten-minute walk.

For a budget hotel, I’d recommend it. Wi-Fi and breakfast are included, the room design is okay, and there’s a decent amount of space. It does need some simple maintenance and cleaning. The complaint about mosquitoes coming through the restroom window was accurate, but they added a seal and it seems to have worked. There’s a pool, though it’s only about 5x15m. Breakfast is just a bowl of boiled rice and two slices of bread, enough for an ordinary breakfast. If you’re after perfect cleanliness and luxury service, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

The breakfast is seriously limited: one fried egg, two slices of bread, and two sausages. Check the photo below. Wi-Fi is very good. The road sign shows 699 thb, but you can book through Agoda for 580 thb or less, depending on available deals.
