Kodtalay Resort

We brought our pet along, which was a big plus, and had a great, relaxing stay. The resort is right by the sea with beautiful views. Breakfast was good and had plenty of choices. I’d definitely recommend it for a getaway.

For $36 a night, I’d happily stay here again. The rooms are fairly large and in generally good shape, with big comfortable beds, air conditioning, and a fan. Furnishings are sparse, and the bathrooms are typically Thai, simple rather than fancy but with what you need. It’s a small resort and great value right on the beach. Swimming isn’t the beach’s strong point, but it’s fine for lounging in the sun, having a beer, and enjoying the view.

This is a small hotel with 12 clean, comfortable rooms and lovely sea views. The sunset is gorgeous, breakfast and wifi are decent, and the staff are friendly. Dogs are welcome too. The beach is narrow, and past chest depth the seabed is a mix of sand and silt, so it’s not ideal for a long swim.

The owner and reception staff were very kind, and breakfast was excellent, with congee, bread, jam, and salad. It’s a small, welcoming resort on a quiet beach, and the room was new, clean, and comfortable. Some rooms along the edge get afternoon sun, which makes them hot. When I visited, the clay in the beach made swimming unpleasant.
