The bungalows are roomy and private, and they were cleaned with fresh towels every day. They also left water, and mine had AC, a fan, a fridge, and a TV. There are restaurants nearby, and you can rent a motorbike just down the road to get to Khao Lak's beach towns. I expected less because the price was low, but I ended up liking the place a lot. I'd definitely recommend it.

The service was friendly and attentive, and that made it easy to feel at home. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and have the essentials. Ban Mek Lom Resort felt peaceful and welcoming, a lovely place I'd be happy to revisit. 🥰

It's a bit better to have a car or bike for getting around, though there are a few restaurants within walking distance. Tour operators pick up here for scuba trips, and it's close to the Similan Islands pier, so you don't need to get up as early as you would from the town center. Check-in and checkout were easy, and there's parking beside each bungalow. The room was large, with a little table for working, basic amenities, and a spacious Thai-style bathroom. I also liked the terrace outside. Daily cleaning came with fresh towels and water. A clean, comfortable hidden gem in Khao Lak. I'd stay again on my next trip.

The owner was the best part. Nobody pushed anything on us, but whenever we needed help, it was handled right away. The place was very clean, and we slept really well on the firm mattress. If you're driving, there's a spot right in front of your cottage. We're so glad we found Baan Mek Lom, and highly recommend staying here.

It's quiet and clean, and close to the pier. For island diving, that means you're picked up last and get back to your bed first. You'll need a bike to reach the center.
