Thai Muang Resort

The price was excellent. The room and bathroom were spacious, with a table and chairs by the entrance, and two bottles of water provided each day. The bed was a little hard.

We had two bungalows, one with a double bed and one with twin beds. They’re basic, but had what we needed for a quick overnight stay, and the staff were extremely friendly. We were there for the annual Turtle Festival and releasing, and the resort is perfectly placed for the turtle activities and fair. The beach is just 100m away, and small shops, bakeries, bars, and restaurants are within walking distance. It’s a small, quiet resort in a sleepy fishing village.

A nice quiet beach getaway, with basic amenities in these quaint bungalows at Thai Mueang Resort. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and it’s about a five-minute walk to the beach. I booked online, but payment had to be in cash or by scan if you have a Thai bank account. They don’t take credit cards. A great place to relax and unwind.

It’s a very quiet resort tucked down a side road off the main road along Thaimuang beach. My chalet had a bedroom, bathroom, and a much-needed refrigerator, but no cooking facilities. The room was cleaned and the bedding changed every couple of days. There are plenty of traditional Thai restaurants and a great coffee shop just a couple of minutes away on foot. It’s not a five-star hotel, but it suited my needs well.
