Amora Beach Resort Phuket

We booked only about half an hour before getting there, but everything was ready for us. The staff were warm, professional and attentive, and the whole afternoon was fantastic. Ning & Prim deserve special thanks for taking such great care of us. Mama had a wonderful birthday 🎈🎂 The high tea was superb. We visit England often and have had plenty of high teas there, but none have been as good. There was a huge choice of desserts, tasty club, salmon and crab sandwiches, and a fantastic tea menu, plus coffee and lots of other options. We'd give it 10 stars if we could, though the limit is 5.

Aisha at reception made a real difference for us. We had left clothes at our previous hotel, and she and the reception team went above and beyond to help get them back. She was professional, caring and genuinely helpful. We had a very good stay in Bang Tao. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with a good bed and solid upkeep. Breakfast was tasty, plentiful and varied, and the food we ordered was good too. Staff were polite and pleasant, though operations could be better. Poolside dishes and used items sometimes sat around too long, and one day there were no pool towels. We were told the supply vehicle had been in an accident, but towels had already been short the day before. One thing to keep in mind: there's no elevator. We were on the third floor, which could be a hassle with strollers or heavy bags, or when going back and forth to the pool. All in all, very good, with a few things to improve.

We spent six nights at Amora with our 3.5-year-old, and the afternoon pool time was a hit. My son played while we had happy hour drinks there. The beach is pleasant, with natural shade under the trees, but the first three rows of sunbeds are taken by 8-8:30 a.m. There are nearby spots for shakes, corn, drinks and massages, so things are convenient. Breakfast had lots of choices and was great, and the hotel facilities were very well maintained. Our room was in good shape, though the mattress is very firm if that matters to you. Exchange and Tops are next door, and the night market is a three-minute tuk-tuk ride away.

Such a relaxed place, with warm, attentive staff and really good food. We were surprised more people didn't eat in-house. The beach is easy to get to and the water's so warm, and both pools are fab. Good location too. Faii and Maxim were our best waiters ever!
