For 2,500 baht a night, I’d book somewhere else. The lobby has a notice saying one-night customers aren’t allowed, so that rate seems not to be allowed either. The place looks neglected outside, with rust and peeling paint. There’s no proper entrance, just the garage exit, and the carport has been broken for months. Nobody is ever at reception, and even the lobby mailboxes are rusty. The condos themselves are tiny, around 20 square metres, with a sitting area, kitchen, sleeping space, and small bathroom. The kitchen has a very old washing machine. Units facing the front are beside a busy road, with the bed next to the window, so the noise goes on day and night. I couldn’t sleep without earplugs.

One picture says it all. The building’s public areas are in such an abandoned state that I feel sorry for the tenants and owners. Where does all the maintenance fee money go? Shame on the building management company.

The apartment itself was super cosy and clean, and it was a plus to have a gym and pool in the shared areas. The pool needs attention, though, with broken tiles all over. Getting into the building with a stroller means ducking under a boom because the garage is the only entrance. It’s a really stupid setup. Once outside, you’re straight onto a fairly busy street with no sidewalk, which isn’t pleasant with kids. There’s also a lot of late-night noise from nearby restaurants, and fireworks over the water are common. We rented through airbnb for a few days with family. The place was relatively clean overall.

Zcape condo is in a really convenient spot near Bangtao beach. Villa market, restaurants, a hair salon, massage places, wine shops and more are just a few minutes’ walk away.

For one person, the studios at Zcape 2 Condominium are plenty. They’re equipped for comfortable living, including a washing machine, and restaurants, bars and supermarkets are all an easy walk away. The frustrating part is parking. Even as an owner, you aren’t guaranteed a space, which is especially annoying after a long day at work. I’d take off a point for that, but it’s still a decent place for someone living alone.
