Howard Johnson by Wyndham Phuket Naiyang

The staff made my six nights at Howard Johnson by Wyndham Phuket memorable, especially Khun Aat and Khun Thad, who were warm and attentive throughout. Everyone was polite, professional, and ready to help, and breakfast staff were friendly too. There was a good mix of fresh, well-prepared Thai and international dishes. My room was spacious, clean, and nicely designed, with a very comfortable bed, an evening view from the balcony, a fridge, coffee maker, and hair dryer. The pool was clean and beautiful, with plenty of spots for photos, and I enjoyed having the gym and poolside bar as well. The hotel is near the beach, restaurants, and local attractions, while the surroundings feel peaceful and restful. From check-in to checkout, it was a wonderful stay, with good service and value. A great option when visiting Phuket.

The rooms have no soundproofing between them, so you can hear everything and it's hard to relax. The hotel itself is new and comfortable. It works well before a flight, but I wouldn't stay longer than a few nights.

On our later one-night stop before leaving, we found a much happier place, with more staff than during our first, quieter stay. That change came after we first met "Chuck," who had been brought in to investigate and turn things around and was now the manager. The staff were all friendly, especially reception, the entertaining chef, and Chuck, who even drove us to the airport at stupid-o'clock in the morning. He went out of his way for us. The hotel has clean rooms and a restaurant, plus lovely pools and grounds. It's on a quiet road in a nice spot, handy for the airport and near the beach and markets. We spent three nights here when we first arrived in Thailand, then returned for that last night. With the upgrades Chuck has planned, the place could become 5 star rated. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful stay!

The staff were so kind and helpful, making sure we had what we needed and that we felt looked after. We stayed before our flight home, and the hotel's just a few minutes from the airport while still feeling calm and relaxing. The pool was beautiful and peaceful, and we enjoyed spending time there. The hotel is very new and some facilities are still being finished, but we had an excellent experience.
