We were lucky to find Isara in mid-October, when they were offering a big discount on a room with breakfast. It was the best pet-friendly place we’ve ever stayed. Our Golden Retriever was a hit with the owners and staff, and he even got into the pool before we’d reached our room on the first afternoon! The resort was fully booked, but still peaceful, tucked away in a quiet spot about a five-minute walk from a beautiful beach. If you want the quieter side of Phuket, I’d recommend staying here. Our room had plenty of space for the three of us: a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, plus a sofa bed for our 12-year-old in the adjoining lounge. There was a large TV in each room and all the facilities we needed. Breakfast was delicious, with lots of set menus to choose from, and even small extras like bacon with pancakes were included. The owners and staff were welcoming, helpful, and friendly the whole time.

The room was in bad shape in several places. It was also dirty: ants and dirt everywhere, hair in the shower, and a used razor blade. The shower looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. There were brown spots on the floor beside the beds that I didn’t want to identify. Both towels were dirty too, one with red marks that might have been period stains or makeup, the other with yellow stains. Don’t trust the photos or rating.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and the place has a nice local feel. We only stayed for a day, but it was a good stay and I’d definitely recommend it. There’s a pool, the airport is close, and the beach is about a 10-minute walk away.

We felt embarrassed by how the staff spoke to us. We booked through booking.com with breakfast selected, but later they told us it wasn’t included. They started yelling at us in front of other customers to pay. We did pay, but there’s a respectful way to talk to customers. The staff were very rude and arrogant. Service was poor as well. The AC in one of our rooms didn’t work, and repeated requests didn’t get it fixed. This property is overpriced, and we’ll never stay here again.

The pool was a highlight, large, well kept, and very inviting. We also had a wonderful stay in a spacious, comfortable room that was sparkling clean. The beach is only a short walk away, and the service was welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended!
