For an airport hotel, this is exactly what you’d hope for. It’s very well located, with a free shuttle running around the clock, though the airport is also just a three-minute walk away. Check-in went smoothly and the receptionist was friendly. Our room was spacious enough, and the runway view from the balcony made watching planes take off a fun experience. The AC worked well, as did the TV. There’s a 7-Eleven right next door, which is handy. One problem was the shower on the fourth floor. The water barely ran, so I had to shower under a dribble before a long flight. Maybe there was something wrong with the heating unit. Light sleepers or people who are picky about noise should know you can hear every plane taking off. Phuket usually doesn’t operate between 12 and 5 a.m., though, so it does get quiet eventually.

We only stayed one night, but would absolutely choose this hotel again. We asked for a room overlooking the runway when we arrived, and the staff kindly arranged it. Watching planes take off and land through the night was just what we wanted. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was comfortable.

The runway view from the front room made our return visit to Louis’ Runway View hotel Phuket memorable. Khun Mai arranged that room for us and gave excellent service. The owner Khun Lung Louis (Uncle), Khun’ Pa (Aunty), and their daughter were generous and welcoming, and made us feel valued. The housekeeper also did an impressive job keeping the room clean and providing the amenities we needed. We’re already planning to come back in September. Just so you know, there’s no in-room safety deposit box, no lift, and no restaurant on site. There’s a 7-11 and a restaurant next door. Thank you.

Everything was really clean, and the location was hard to beat, about an eight-minute walk from the airport. There’s also a 7-11 and a lovely coffee shop next door. Couldn’t fault it!

If you’re into plane spotting, this is a great place to stay. My wife booked it as a surprise birthday trip after hearing me say that plane spotting was on my bucket list. She arranged it with Thomas, who advised her on which room to choose. The staff knew we could pick a room when we arrived, and we followed Thomas’ suggestion. The balcony had a perfect runway view. It’s a basic room, but it had what mattered to us: a king bed, a large bathroom, and free wifi. There’s no lift, though that wasn’t an issue for us. It’s also very close to the airport, so it works well for a transit stop. We ate at two nearby places on the same alley beside the 7 Eleven: Krua Klang Soi Sanam Bin and 168 House Cafe. Both felt homey, cooked to order, and served some of the best Thai food we had on the trip. We had a very pleasant stay at Louis’ Runway View Hotel and would recommend it to friends. I’ll definitely be back for more plane spotting in another season.
