I slept soundly every night here, which is unusual for me as an insomniac. It's a quiet, peaceful location, and the family-run place has a lovely young manager who's kind, welcoming, and organised. Beds were great, the shower had good pressure, WiFi stayed stable, and the pool is wonderful. Management has made plenty of shaded spots so you can avoid sitting in direct sun. There's a beautiful garden, a washing machine, and a few handy bicycles. For food, the small restaurant next door is good, and Brew Box and Early Coffee are great for breakfast. Early Coffee also does fabulous sandwiches if you're hungry. Do support the other local businesses. My only real gripe was the room lighting. The bulbs were basically blue, which made reading difficult. Swapping them for yellow ones would fix it, and then I'd be completely happy. As it is, I was 99.99% happy. Keep up the good work, I loved this little guesthouse.

Had a great, relaxing week in this quiet, clean, cozy hotel that felt more like an apartment hotel. It's excellent value, with wonderful staff. Thanks for all your help, Gail. The beach is a five minute walk away, and the main street with 7/11s, restaurants, and other places is about ten minutes away. There's a relaxing pool, and you can borrow bicycles for free whenever you like.

We spent three weeks here and would absolutely recommend it if you're after a calm place to unwind. It's close to the beach, has a village feel, and the guest service is top notch. You can rent scooters or use bikes, with affordable prices. There are supermarkets, massage places, coffee shops, and sightseeing companies nearby. The south of the island and the city are about 30-60 minutes away, but this is a lovely spot to slow down and enjoy the Thailand vibe.

We had a fantastic stay at Maikhao Beach residence. The location is ideal if you'd rather be away from the big city and party streets. The rooms were clean and spacious, the pool was warm, and there was a free bicycle rental and a gym. Gail at reception was especially kind and dedicated, always ready to help with anything.

We only booked one night at Maikhao Beach Residence, but it was a fantastic stay. The host was generous, quick to respond, and very helpful. She was flexible about our late arrival and arranged a 12:45 AM check-in. Being available at 7:00 AM also made our early trip to Khoa Sok stress-free. Highly recommend.
