Maya Phuket Airport Hotel

The shower had strong water pressure and hot water, and room service was fine. We arrived early, but check-in was still easy, and the room was large and clean. The downside was construction starting every morning. I also want to thank a hotel team member whose name I think is "Ats". His kindness and service were exceptional, and he made us feel at home. Thank you for being so welcoming. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Breakfast had lots to choose from, including made-to-order eggs, fresh fruit, savory dishes, toast, cereal, and baked goods. The staff were friendly, and my spacious top-floor room looked out over the forest. It was a great place for an overnight stop near the airport, about a five-minute walk away. Planes, people in the corridors, and the loud air conditioning can all be heard. The air con worked very well, though, and with earplugs the noise wasn't a problem for me. I slept well and would stay again.

Our checkout was at noon, and when we first asked for a late checkout, we were told it wasn't possible. We checked the website and saw plenty of rooms still available, and then a late checkout until 4 PM suddenly became an option. We declined and went to use the pool shower instead, where men then started working nearby. I politely asked reception whether a room was available just so we could shower. The man there was very rude and started shouting. Terrible hotel and very bad staff.

The smell in room 1207 was awful and woke us several times overnight. We had a very uncomfortable stay, and I definitely wouldn't recommend that room.
