Dirk and Ohm were helpful and very accommodating hosts. The place has a lovely, relaxing setting and a beautiful swimming pool. It seems well suited to longer stays, with a full kitchenette, though there’s no stove top.

The hosts and staff will top up your water, clean the room, or change towels if you ask. A fruit shop and a 24-hour 7/11 are near the hotel. Walking to the beach takes you past a village scene, with chickens and cows roaming the yards. I was lucky with quiet neighbors, and had no insects, geckos, or other unwanted visitors inside. The landlord did warn that ants might come in if fruit was left indoors, so I ate fruit outside and kept the trash out of the house. I stayed in rooms 21 and 18. Both were clean, with no mold or damp smell and no trouble with water, sewerage, or electricity. The fridge had my favorite coconut water. The kitchen had a toaster, kettle, and microwave, and room 18 also had a cooktop. There was a new dish sponge and clean rags, small things that matter to me. Other apartments often have old rags, sponges, or towels. The layout was convenient too, with a spacious bathroom, plenty of places to hang things, and lots of mirrors. The garden was neatly kept, and house №21 had a mini-terrace with a table and chairs by the entrance. House 18 opened straight onto the garden, where I could sunbathe and have breakfast privately. It’s a quiet place with a very pleasant atmosphere. If the area suits you, book without doubts. My only small complaints: the towels in bathroom #21 smelled strongly of lemon, as if treated with air freshener or too much detergent, and the scent seemed to linger on my skin. Everything was fine in #18. There’s no laundry service, though there is one on the next street. I’m glad I chose this place and will be back. I’ll recommend it to friends, since this is what a clean room should be like. I hope they keep up this standard.

Dirk and Ohm are such friendly, attentive, and informative hosts. I expected only a room, but got a wonderful, fully equipped one-bedroom apartment instead. Orchidilla is a beautiful, quiet, comfortable little resort, beyond what I expected, and I can't recommend it enough. It feels like a slice of heaven in Phuket, in a peaceful beach community. The airport isn't far, but you’d never know it was nearby.

The resort is tucked about 100m off the main road, so it's completely quiet, and the beach is around a 10 minute walk. There are lots of little shops and restaurants close by, all within walking distance and with options for most tastes. The airport is about a 15 min drive. I stayed for 4 days, and it was a comfortable, relaxed place from start to finish. Dirk and his wife were welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The bungalows have a bedroom, large bathroom, living room, and small kitchen. Some have a private garden at the back with sun loungers, table, and chairs, and there are also chairs and a table on the front balcony. Out back there’s a lovely garden, private pool, and a spot to sit and unwind. It’s a hidden gem, and I’d happily stay again if I wanted somewhere peaceful and quiet.
