Phuket Airport Place

The room didn’t give us the rest we’d hoped for before the next day’s adventure. We booked a family room with a bunk bed and king bed, but it smelled unpleasant on arrival. Staff brought room freshener, which only covered the smell for a while. The AC took a long time to cool, and the bathroom exhaust fan didn’t work, so it felt stuffy and less hygienic. For the price and location, the room felt worn, not especially clean, and very basic. Getting there was also difficult after a late flight. Although it’s described as an airport hotel, it’s roughly a 10-minute walk from the terminal along uneven pavements and poor sidewalks, with a busy road to cross. That felt exhausting and inconvenient with kids or heavy luggage. If you’re traveling light, alone, or don’t mind the walk and basic facilities, it could work for a quick stop. For families, people with mobility concerns, or anyone wanting a comfortable, odor-free rest after a flight, I’d look for a closer shuttle option or a better-maintained place nearby.

It’s a straightforward option if you need to stay near Phuket’s airport, about 400 metres or a five-minute walk away. There’s a swimming pool, and some rooms have pool access while higher-floor rooms offer a pool view. Check-in is self-service, so no one will be there to help carry your suitcases. Our room was clean and tidy, though the place feels its age. The AC was set to 17C, but only cooled the room enough for us to sleep. If you arrive late at night with your own car, parking may be hard to find.

The balcony had a nice view of planes taking off and landing. You can hear them, though it seemed to get quieter after 11 pm. The airport is only about a 5-10 minute walk away, and there’s a 7/11 around the corner. We also got quick, friendly service when we arrived.

We thought we’d get there around 8 pm, but our flight was late and immigration took a long time, so it was after midnight by the time we arrived. A staff member had stayed up to welcome us and show us to our rooms, which was a lovely surprise. The airport is within walking distance for people who are able to walk.
