Ruan Mai Naiyang Beach Resort

The staff were friendly and helpful, and showed me several room options since more friends are arriving tomorrow. We're going to stay in the family suite. My room for tonight is great, and the beach is only a 30-second walk away. The hotel is across from NaiYang Beach walking street, with lots of bars, and there's a 24-hour market across the street too. Definitely worth adding to my Google map. I'll be back tomorrow night with the guys, and I'm sure I'll return again. Cheers.

You can't get closer to the beach for this price, though there's a beachfront restaurant between the hotel and the ocean. The rooms were super clean. After I explained I'd hurt my knee, they gladly moved me to the first floor the next day when a room opened up. The building is old, which is the only reason I'd take off a star. That's just time, not anyone's fault.

The booking was for right after our flight, and we'd already given the address to a tour operator for pickup. I had to try to sort it out between flights while on the way there, and if I hadn't had internet access, I wouldn't even have known about the cancellation. The message came at 7 pm the day before the first night. They cancelled our booking the day before arrival, when prices in the area were very different from what I'd seen when I booked. After sending, “Hello.First of all, I am sorry, tomorrow our hotel is full, so we are canceling your booking🙏”, nobody could be reached. The booking still showed as active on the portal. This was incredibly unprofessional and caused a lot of extra stress. Absolutely not okay. Anyone reading this should consider how little commitment and respect this shows.

After a 10-hour drive, I arrived at the hotel only to find that my booking had been cancelled about 10 minutes earlier. I’d booked around midnight, but nobody called or messaged to tell me. I wasted the gas getting there, and when I was upset, they wouldn’t apologize. The front desk staff were impatient when I asked about a refund. They offered a room with a fan, even though I’d booked a room with a fan. The whole experience made me furious. Worst hotel ever.
