Sea Sand See Sky Beach Front Resort

The staff were friendly, and the resort was clean and quiet, with a natural, welcoming feel. There were no crowds or noise, just a peaceful place to unwind. It’s right by the water, and the mountain views are amazing. One of my most relaxing moments in Phuket was sitting in the bathtub and looking out at the sea. I’d return without hesitation.

The excellent internet and air conditioning were the only real positives for us. At €114 a night, we expected basic comfort, cleanliness and dependable service, but our stay in northern Phuket was a major disappointment. I’m sharing the details because an honest account like this beforehand might have saved us money, stress and frustration. The location was remote and impractical. The nearest supermarket is about 10 km away, so without a car you’re more or less stuck. The hotel is next to the airport, with loud planes passing overhead every few minutes. Getting to activities meant driving 40-50 minutes south. Many Grab or Bolt drivers seemed surprised a hotel was there; some refused the trip, and rides that did go through often cost 400-500 Baht each way. The surroundings looked nothing like the advertised nature. There was no beach or access to the sea, and we saw construction debris, mud, rubbish, old car tyres, stray dogs and cats, and countless insects. Our first room was full of ants. We messaged reception on WhatsApp, and someone came with spray. They coughed from it, then told us we could go to sleep. We ended up spraying and cleaning everything ourselves until midnight. Moving rooms the next day didn’t help much. There was a gecko in the bathroom, and reception didn’t answer our message or call. The next morning we got a brief apology saying they’d only just seen the message, but no follow-up, offer of help or concern about whether the gecko was still there. Staff lived in the neighbouring building. The day before we left, we put up the “Do not disturb” sign because the room was messy. When we came back two hours later, the sign had been taken down and staff had entered anyway. What’s the point of providing a sign if it isn’t respected? The room was small, with nowhere to sit and no wardrobe. The outdoor bathtub might sound nice, but the view was mostly mud, rubbish and distant water, and there was no sea access. Breakfast was very poor, with no questions about allergies or dietary preferences. The hotel didn’t come close to what the price suggested. The location was noisy and inconvenient, service unreliable, cleanliness lacking and surroundings disappointing.

The view and room were awesome, but what really stood out was the hospitality. On the morning of our flight, the car battery ran flat. We told the staff, and they arranged help within five minutes to jump-start it. They offered a service tip for the inconvenience, but the person helping us politely declined. Thank you. 🙏

We felt well looked after from check-in through check-out. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The resort is close to the airport, which made catching our flight convenient. Seeing planes go by while we were in paradise was actually fun. The sea view from the room was breathtaking, and soaking in the outdoor bathtub while listening to the ocean was the highlight of my trip. Sea Sand Sea Sky Beach Resort is a perfect spot if you love peaceful beach vibes and beautiful views. I’d happily come back for another relaxing, romantic getaway.
