Seaside Cottages & Restaurant

For the price, this is a very good beachfront deal, and the bungalows are the nicest I’ve stayed in in Thailand. The setting is cute, but the rooms seem like an afterthought, and as a guest you may feel that way too. They face the back of the restaurant, so the view isn’t pleasant, and there’s nowhere to sit outside your room unless you go to the restaurant. No hammock, beach chairs, or towels are provided. You get two small bottles of water a day, then have to buy more at the restaurant. The towel situation was frustrating. On day three I asked for fresh ones and was told there weren’t any. When I asked again, they suggested I buy a towel at the minimart. I pushed back because that seemed unacceptable, and suddenly they found fresh towels. The food was okay, though pricey for Thailand. There aren’t many competing choices on this stretch of beach, so it is still cheaper than the resort options. After a few meals, I felt puffy, had headaches, and generally unwell. I suspect the food was very high in MSG. The bungalows feel neglected, and the considerations I expected weren’t there. I’m giving three stars because the beachfront price is very good.

We’ve eaten at local restaurants and five-star resorts during our two weeks in Thailand, and this was easily the tastiest food of the trip. Fresh, simple, and full of flavour. Really impressed, guys. Well done.

A lovely spot for an easygoing meal by the sea, with a beautiful beachfront feel, delicious food, and very reasonable prices. The staff are so warm and helpful. Highly recommend it, one of the finest places in Phuket!

The sea breeze and atmosphere here really stayed with me. It’s a good restaurant to visit in Phuket, and Khun Tar gave great service to me and my friend. I’ll come back next time I’m in Phuket.
