Suriyasom Villa

We stayed for a week, and the villa felt worn out and in need of a small renovation. The rooms and kitchen weren’t cleaned during our stay. Staff collected the garbage once and cleaned the pool once. We had noisy neighbors through the wall, sometimes keeping us awake until 3 am. The sheets and blankets need replacing, and one air conditioner barely worked. Also, this is the Muslim part of Bang Tao: the nearest 7/11 doesn’t sell alcohol, and prayers start at 5:30 am.

I rented this large villa for five months in 2022. It had three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a pool, a garage, a washing machine and all the necessities. The dishes and utensils were old, and there wasn’t much to choose from, so I bought replacements at Super Cheap for a steal.

The villa is run-down and old, with maintenance in poor shape and service from the management company at a very low level. I really wouldn’t recommend renting it.

I haven’t been back since. I helped rebuild the entire restaurant and kitchen, which cost me 20,000 baht, and then still had to pay the bill for the Appreciation Dinner the owners put on for everyone. What an experience.
