Villoft Zen Living

After the lovely chaos of Patong beach, my wife and I needed to unwind, and this hotel was perfect. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the staff were so kind. There’s a bar, two stores, and a weed dispensary within walking distance if you need to relax more. Peaceful Layan beach is a 10-minute taxi ride away. Thanks for making us feel so welcome. Big shout out to Sai, Film, min and Fifi, who are super badass.

We arrived at midnight, and security made check-in easy and carried our bags. The place was clean throughout, and everyone was accommodating and lovely. The language barrier wasn’t an issue at all. Aoy especially helped us during our stay in Phuket. Whenever we needed something, staff came right away. I’d recommend this place and will return.

We spent a month in the three-bedroom V5 Villa, and it was one of our most relaxing stays. The villa is private and peaceful, with lovely green surroundings that make you feel calm and close to nature. Once inside the resort, it feels quiet and serene, far removed from the busy roads and crowds outside. Service was 10/10, every staff member was ready to help with a smile and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended for privacy, tranquility, and excellent service.

We were looking forward to our stay at Villoft Resort, but left disappointed. For the premium nightly price, the villa’s comfort and practicality made it hard to enjoy our time there. The upstairs bathroom had several problems. The shower fittings seemed low quality and were already broken, so switching shower heads was difficult. Water pressure was extremely low, and water pooled because the drain sits higher than the lowest part of the floor. The sink plug didn’t work properly and had to be held open by hand to let the water drain. There’s very little storage, especially for a couple. The upper cupboards were impractical and hard to reach even at six feet tall. The minibar is upstairs, inconvenient when you’re downstairs, and the cupboard area has poor lighting, with the minibar fridge as its only light source. There’s only one small suitcase stand and not enough power points around the villa. Downstairs, the space behind the TV under the stairs is wasted. Kitchen facilities are extremely limited: there’s no cutlery or cooking utensils, only two teacups, saucers, and teaspoons. There’s one kettle with a cord too short to use normally, so it has to be awkwardly balanced on the table. There’s nowhere to cook or reheat food, no suitable place for suitcases, and no chairs by the pool. The downstairs seating is very low and uncomfortable, especially for elderly guests or anyone with knee or back problems. The stairs are tiring, very slippery, and feel unsafe, particularly with frequent trips between floors. At $440 a night, we didn’t feel it was good value. The plunge pool is appealing, but the lack of comfort and practicality took away from the stay. These villas may suit one traveler for a night or two better than a couple staying longer. There are visible cracks in the concrete around the pool, and parts of the villa look structurally uneven. The landscaping looks attractive but doesn’t work well, since you can’t wheel suitcases to or from the villa and have to carry them. The villa looks good in photos, but the design seems to favor appearance over comfort and usability. With all these issues, we couldn’t relax and enjoy our stay as we’d hoped.
