Eco Inn Prime Trang

The staff were excellent, the views were pleasant, and the bathrooms had been renovated recently. But the rooms, furniture, and flooring felt old, and the corridors were ugly. For 600 baht I'd rate it higher; at 950 baht, it's overpriced and only worth two stars. It doesn't come up to the same standard as the B2 Chain.

The food is wow, and the service is right on point 👌😍 Such a beautiful place to spend time.

At 599 Baht a night, this was amazing value. The room was quiet, clean, and a decent size, with a comfortable bed, duvet, and large pillow. The mattress wasn't too hard, which can happen in Thailand. The bathroom was bright and roomy enough, with a good shower, hot water, shampoo, soap dispenser, glass partition, a large sink, and lots of space for toiletries. Everything was sparkling clean. The AC worked well and was quiet. There was a desk with several power points, and entry was by credit card style key card. There's a lift and free off-road parking. Staff were polite, welcoming, and helpful, and they gave us a chilled coffee-based welcome drink, a nice touch. The TV was there, but I didn't use it, so I can't say what the channels are like. We had no disturbances all night. No idea why the Google average is only two stars. It's not the Ritz, but in Europe a room like this could easily be £100+ a night and smaller. 5/5.

March 25/26, 2022. I had a poor experience here. We booked the regular rate of 880 baht a week ahead, directly through the hotel, and paid in advance as requested. Breakfast wasn't included. Later we saw it listed elsewhere for 550-650 baht with breakfast. They wouldn't change our rate or offer breakfast. We should have checked other platforms first, but asking for advance payment without offering cancellation or a price adjustment felt like very poor business practice. We'd traveled in Thailand for six months and hadn't had service like that before. The room itself was clean, but the shared areas, including stairwells, looked black and moldy and needed a thorough cleaning. The hotel didn't seem well-kept on arrival. The Wi-Fi was extremely poor, around 1mb per second instead of the 30-50mb it should be. Email was about all it could manage, and video was impossible. The supposed bar fridge was actually a wine cooler and didn't get things cold. It also switched off when you took the room key with you, making it practically useless. The room safe didn't work because its batteries were dead.
