The location worked out really well. Turn left from the hotel and walk about 500 meters to the old market, Trang Municipal Market, where the morning stalls have just about everything. To the right, Wisetkul (Kokun) Road leads to a left turn and a walk of roughly 100 meters to former Prime Minister Chuan Leekpai's residence. It's open 24 hours and has free drinks. Continue farther along and you'll reach the Trang Clock Tower. The hotel also provides a free transfer from Trang Airport, about 5 km away, taking around 5-10 minutes by car. My room was spacious, clean and bright, with plenty of white light, large windows for ventilation, an LCD TV and a big comfortable bed.
