Poompimaan House

There’s parking right outside the entrance. My fourth-floor room was entered from outdoors, and when carrying a big bag I found the door confusing: a badly placed outdoor light stopped it opening properly. The wardrobe had no hangers, so a chair would have been more useful. I’ve only seen this room, and the ones with indoor entrances might be better equipped. Still, it would do for a night if you’re passing through.

The location is great, but the service was really poor. I had a horrible morning here. They need to renovate or replace everything. I’m sorry, but I didn’t even want to give one star.

The staff were rude and unprofessional, and offered no help or courtesy. Poompimaan House was dirty and poorly maintained, right across from a busy highway, so it was noisy and unpleasant. My stay was extremely disappointing. I’d strongly advise against it and say to avoid it altogether.

The bathroom had gecko droppings and false eyelashes stuck to the wall, and the room smelled strongly of paint with stains all over it. There were only five tissues; it was very late, so I didn’t ask for more. Noise came through the walls too. Read the reviews carefully before booking. I didn’t, and mistakenly assumed this place would be good. The owner should make improvements if they want guests to have a positive stay.
